><New Contests in Klatch><
There are two new contests taking place now in the great land of Klatch. The first is the announcement of a National Connect Four tournament run by the Council under the Auspices of the organizer Dariana Womblesworth and Nawab Keb Casaubon. The text of the PR announcement reads as follows:
To the Faithful, Salaam, and the blessings of the immortal gods:
Pharoah, and his satellite Council, are pleased to announce that
the first National Connect Four Tournament is about to begin.
All citizens who wish to join can do so by sending Dariana a
mudmail until March the 5th.
The Vizier of the People's Bank of Klatch, Sevoria, has agreed
to place a game inside that institution's office in the
southeastern corner of the east bazaar. An alternative area has
been set aside for players requiring a location that is more
secure, away from the envenomed blades of inhuming assassins,
murderous nemesii, and the like.
The number of rounds and the schedule will be arranged after we
know how many people are willing to play. The prizes are these:
- The National Champion receives the honorary pre-title
'Shai/Sitt al-khasa' (Master/Mistress of Excellence) and 5000
tooni,
- The first runner up receives 3000 tooni,
- The second runner up receives 2000 tooni.
An additional and more glorious title, whose nature cannot at
this time be made known, will also be offered
The money shall be supplied by the Klatchian treasury, by the
mandate of Nawab Keb Casaubon.

The Second contest is one hosted by Papyrus, we are looking for new ASCII art for our covers in future editions. The rules are simple:
1. The Art must be original, and belong to the artist who submitted it.
2. The Art must depict something in Klatch.
3. The Art must be submitted before the next issue of Papyrus is published.
The Contest is open to all who apply, will be run again for each new issue of papyrus, and if your work is selected we will pay you 1,500 DjToon as your prize, as well as credit you for the work in the paper.
