~Meet the Magistrates - Greygrene~
Greygrene's memory only goes back clearly to when he, as a young man, stumbled out of the Mended Drum in Ankh-Morpork. Broke and a bit confused, he made his way to the Unseen University and joined the Wizards' Guild. After a very long time, he eventually graduated and decided to treat himself to a vacation. He still couldn't remember where he hailed from and it would be many years before he realized it was Sto Lat. So instead he took the advice of a travel agent in Sator Square and booked a trip to Klatch. From the minute he arrived he felt he had, well, arrived, and never considered leaving. He went to work at the Institute of Illusory Learning as a member of the Demiurgical Djinn Diviners. When Citizenship was allowed, he became a Citizen of the Council. He has since had the privledge of serving as Magistrate numerous times and was eventually granted the honour of Sultan. He remains humble and thoughtful and can usually still be found in the Institute pondering and Chanting and ready to help people who ask.
