Closing a case with the following sentences requires the agreement of at least two Djelibeybi Magistrates:
Banishment for longer then one month,
Loss of Citizenship
The second magistrate must be noted in the closing statement.
However, if a person breaks several rules showing no respect for Djelian laws or citizens within a short period of time and there is sufficient evidence to warrant it, a temporary sentence may be imposed upon them until the proper punishment is determined.
The temporary punishment may consist of the following:
Banishment for up to 3 days
Jail for up to 24 hours
Penguin (Wed Dec 18 02:56:33 2002):
Cases brought under rule 300 (regarding the prohibition of dual citizenship) are hereby exempted from this rule.

Intentionally attacking any NPC that is allied with a player, such as pets, fruitbats, skeleton warriors, spectres or clouds, is considered unlawful.
It is illegal to steal from any NPC allied with a player, such as the ones above, when a NPK is getting stolen from or attempting to steal.
Potential punishments may include fines, jail time, or stronger punishments for multiple offenses and/or severity of crimes committed.
Maxwell (Tue Apr 2 13:22:47 2002):
The previous condition referring to attacking NPC's allied with players is no longer in effect.
It is illegal to attack or use other methods to cause damage to a NPC allied with a player if the the person attacking is NPK, and/or the creature belongs to a NPK.
All other conditions are still in effect.
312 by Templisk (Fri Jul 12 07:53:44 2002):
Removing items from a player's corpse without the permission of the item's owner is illegal or the intent to return any item(s) promptly. All within the domain of Djelibeybi are under the protection of this law, and furthermore the Djelibeybi Council will protect its citizens to the best of it's abilities when they are outside Djelibeybi's borders.
Allowances may be made at a magistrate's discretion in special circumstances or if the items are returned promptly.
If the crime is committed within the domain of another self-governing land, the trial may be held by either council or both separately, depending on the diplomatic arrangements between the two councils.
Since corpse looting is such a serious issue, any of the available punishments may be used and severe punishments should be expected if the items are not returned.
Leyan (Sat Sep 29 19:07:51 2007):
Obstructing a player from retrieving items from his or her corpse is considered to be a capital corpse looting offence.
This includes but is not limited to dragging the corpse to a remote area.

Suggested Punishments: Fine and loss of all but one personal house.
It is not allowed to own more than one player shop in Djelibeybi at a time.
Suggested Punishments: Fine and loss of all but one player shop.
The fine will be quite high, so as to deter someone who can afford to rent several houses and/or own more than one shop.
If a citizen is not willing to give the houses back as punishment, citizenship may be revoked.
It is allowed to rent two houses and own one shop at the same time; it is also allowed to rent additional houses from other players (not directly).
315 by Sygon (Tue Dec 24 18:30:04 2002):
It is illegal to attempt to influence the outcome of any case within the Djelian domain by any corrupt means.
This covers (but is not limited to) lies, threats, promises or bribes offered to witnesses, magistrates, the defendant, the person opening the case or anyone else connected to the case.
The severity of the actions will determine the sentence, which is, as always, up to the magistrate trying the case. The cannot be the same magistrate as in the case the offence is connected to.
Punishments: fine, jailtime, loss of citizenship, banishment.
316 by Sygon (Thu Dec 26 11:38:57 2002):
It is illegal for anyone connected to a case within the Djelian Domain to accept bribes to pervert the course of justice.Bribes are defined as money, goods, or services that are given as a reward for committing an action connected to the case.
Perverting the course of justice is defined as committing any act that leads to the case concluding in a result that is unlawful, ie unlawfully changing its outcome to any other than that which it would have taken without the underhanded act or leading to a changing of the sentence.
This law does not apply to Out of Court Settlements. An Out of Court Settlement may be offered by the defendant to the plaintiff by mail providing a copy of the offer is mailed to the Magistrate of Djelibeybi handling the case (who has the right to veto the offer). The defendant also has the right to refuse the offer if they see fit.
Punishments: Jailtime, Loss of Citizenship, Banishment.
317 by Penguin (Fri Dec 27 20:22:54 2002):
It is illegal for a Djelian citizen to conspire with a non citizen to act as a proxy to own or rent property in Djelibeybi.
This means that the property being owned or rented is not primarily for the use or enjoyment of the Djelian citizen and instead is primarily for the use or enjoyment of the non citizen.
Sharing a property with non citizens is legal as long as the Djelian citizen who owns or rents the property is the bona fide owner or renter.
More than mere suspicion or rumours are necessary before a violation of this law is proven. The mere fact that a non citizen spends more time in a property than the citizen owner or renter is not conclusive proof of violation of this law, although it may be used as evidence to help build a case.
As violating this rule is a deliberate attempt to circumvent our rules regarding multiple citizenships, penalties will be extremely severe.
Punishments shall include severe fines (primarily against the non citizen) and loss of citizenship for the citizen if he or she does not give up the property. Jail or banishment may also be given as the case warrants.
318 by Juan (Sun Jun 29 19:47:15 2003):

It is not illegal to bestow a reward title without a rule being broken. Specifically, the granting of the title 'Nawab' and other honorary titles does not require the breaking of a rule. The granting of titles must still be justified in case notes.
319 by Greygrene (Mon Apr 11 01:19:47 2005):
It is illegal for anyone not designated by a majority of the Magistrates to bid on a shop. Magistrates will appoint two separate citizens as designated bidders, one for each shop. Magistrates are not allowed as bidders. Anyone interested in being a bidder will apply by mail to the Magistrates. After the auction closes, the bidders will be required to manage the shops.
No one may take the shops' profits for individual gain. All profits are to go to the Djelian Council Treasury. This does not extend to collecting royalties.
Shop helpers may be recruited by the bidders with the approval of the majority of Magistrates. The Magistrates may or may not, by majority vote, provide a small salary for bidders and other shop helpers.
The bidders must "allow" managerial access to the shops for all current Magistrates to ensure honest accounting. Although profit will not be the only consideration for determining whether a shop is well run, bidders should report regularly to the Magistrates on the shops' operation.
A bidder's position can be terminated at any time by the bidder him- or herself or at the request of the majority of the Magistrates. If the bidder refuses to relinquish the shop's title when properly requested, they will lose their Citizenship.
No Djelian citizen is allowed to hold any other citizenship.
Citizens of other states will not be accepted as Djelian citizens.
